Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrafice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we are also nourished spiritually and brought closer to God
Students must be at least seven years of age by March of the year in which they are to receive First Holy Communion and have at least one year of Catholic elementary religious instruction before being accepted into the final phase of sacramental preparation.
All students who have fulfilled the aformentioned requirements will attend first Penance (Confession) and First Eucharist (Communion) prepartion with a parent or guardian, during the regular class times, in the Church. Both Sacraments will be celebrated in the Spring.
